This painting was made with 100% lavender essential oil solvent. The image for the work was made in collaboration with The Francis Crick institute and depicts an x-ray image of a lavender flower, taking a slice from the very middle. Graphic yet oddly natural the work evokes stylised science imagery and the softness of natural forms.
